Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join Pixaera as our Head of Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and architecture, with knowledge of React, Typescript, NodeJS, NestJS, and Electron. They will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and guide a team of engineers. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of designing scalable solutions and driving innovation. They will have a passion for solving complex problems and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric products. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
You will be responsible for:
- Work closely with the product team to set priorities
- Design and maintain scalable architecture.
- Scope out projects and own the team's sprints.
- Lead the engineering team and support their growth and performance reviews.
- Lead the development of Pixaera’s web applications, backend systems, and desktop app (mainly in React, Typescript, NodeJS, NestJS, and Electron)
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and different teams to bring features to production.
- Manage database schemas with TypeORM and PostgreSQL.
- Lead the integration of third-party LMS systems via APIs.
- Maintain and improve dynamic SSO configurations in the backend.
- Implement secure authentication protocols in both frontend and backend following security standards.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to understand AWS infrastructure and bring features to production.
Who are you?
A successful candidate will have the following skillsets and experience:
- Deep knowledge of React, NodeJS, Typescript, Electron, NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL.
- Strong sense of system design and architecture.
- Ability to write clean code and stable solutions covering all edge cases.
- Keen eye for frontend design and ability to convert Figma designs into UI/UX React components.
- Driven to solve difficult problems and constantly innovate and recommend solutions.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline development, particularly with GitHub Actions.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers.
