This month, the Pixaera team participated in not one, but two major Meta-hosted events at their London offices: the Meta Innovation Day and the EMEA Partner Tank. The events allowed a number of pioneering companies to demonstrate their latest innovations in immersive technologies. As pioneers in VR-based safety training, we took to the stage to showcase our platform and product - and here’s how it went.
Day one: Meta Innovation Day
Meta’s Innovation Day was an amazing meeting of VR experts and enthusiasts from around the world gathering to discuss what they know and do best. The keynote speaker, Amone Gbedemah, kicked off the event with a bang and wowed the audience with her presentation of some of the latest innovations, which included Orion, Rayban Glasses, Llama, Meta AI, and Quest.
Our team stepped into the spotlight during the ISV (Indipendent Software Vendors) presentation sessions, where we focused on sharing our mission to empower industries like energy, construction, and manufacturing through immersive VR training.
But the day's highlight was the live demos, where participants - including representatives from prestigious organizations like HSBC, Deloitte, Heathrow Airport, and Imperial College London - tried out our interactive VR modules. Equipped with Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S headsets, attendees explored how our platform combines safety training with gamified learning, enhancing engagement and retention.
Day two: EMEA Meta Partner Tank
Day two at the Meta Partner Tank had us all in the competitive spirit as our team had the opportunity to pitch directly to Meta’s leadership and industry influencers, emphasizing the real-world impact of our VR safety training programs to a panel of judges.
The investors, or sharks, were leading professionals in the XR, VR, and MR space focused on transforming digitalization and technological equipment for companies across the globe. The panel included some incredible industry leaders: Neil Boia, Head of Creative at Academia; Antony Taylor, Workplace Strategy Lead from Insight; Michael Alber, Sales Manager at Schenker Solutions; Andreas Davidsson, AR/VR/MR Lead Europe from TD SYNNEX and last but not least Simon Frijters, Enterprise Specialist from Unbound.
We are absolutely delighted to say that we won the competition! We’re now excited to welcome a new era of collaboration with the team at Unbound, which aims to make immersive learning experiences accessible to more organizations. As an authorized reseller, Unbound XR collaborates with top manufacturers to supply high-quality XR equipment, and their partnerships ensure that customers can access the latest technologies and comprehensive product support - now including Pixaera.
What’s next for Pixaera?
These Meta events reinforced the growing demand for innovative, tech-driven solutions in workplace safety. For us, they marked a step forward in forging partnerships and expanding the reach of our VR training modules.
We’re grateful to Meta for hosting such dynamic platforms and are excited about future collaborations that will help us push the boundaries of immersive safety training. Stay tuned as we continue to lead the way in XR innovation for safer workplaces and get to work with our Unbound partners!
